Caesar Salad Dressing Mix
I have been craving salads a lot this pregnancy, but I hate buying store bought dressings and mixes. They are so expensive and usually packed with ingredients I don’t love either. I love this easy to whip up caesar salad dressing mix and it is so simple to make, too!
This recipe was inspired by Make-A-Mix Cookery cookbook, which was published in 1978. You can still find tons of copies on Amazon, and I highly recommend checking out the other recipes in this book.

Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
1 tsp oregano
1/8 tsp instant minced garlic
2 TBS grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp pepper
Recipe:
Combine all ingredients into a small bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container and in a cool, dry place. Use within 3-4 months.
To make dressing, combine the mix with 1/2 cup of oil and 1/4 cup of lemon juice. Shake in a jar or whisk until well blended. Chill before serving. Makes approx. 3/4 cup of dressing.
